How We Work
All photos are of our actual equipment located in Asheville.
Step ONE “Dusting”
We use the industries finest dusting equipment called “Rug Badger” to vibrate the back of the rug while it is lying face down on dusting grids. This incredible machine can remove pounds of soil even after a thorough vacuuming.
Step TWO “Wash”
Wool is sheep hair, and just like when you wash your own hair, you first apply product, then gently agitate and rinse. These same principles apply to cleaning wool. After the dyes have been tested for color fastness, it is saturated with clean water, a “Woolsafe” approved product is then messaged into the fibers on the front and back of the rug. Then it is rinsed with clean water until it is clear of all contaminants. At this point we detail the fringe and it is ready for the next phase.
Step THREE “Rinse & Extract”
This step is so important, we do it twice. First by hand, and second by centrifuge. Our goal is to remove all detergent residue and contaminates. We use proprietary tools that were designed and manufactured for Quality Rug Services to safely and efficiently rinse every rug.
SETTING US APPART IS OUR CENTRIFUGE.
- Removes 90% of water from rug in just 3 minutes, opposed to over 24 hours from other cleaning companies.
(Since most problems with cleaning happen during the drying process, such as dye bleeding and wicking of fringe, we encounter nearly zero problems because of the speed of our system.) - Centrifuge has a rinse feature that ensures your rug is completely free of contaminates and residues.
- This machine operates almost exactly like the spin cycle of your washing machine. This method puts no stress on the rug as opposed to extraction with powerful vacuum.
Step FOUR “Final Dry & Groom”
Here, the rug is dried of remaining moisture in a humidity controlled room. It is then inspected for cleanliness and groomed for delivery.
